Job Description
Job Overview: The La Salle International Foundation Associate works closely with the LSIF Executive Director to ensure the smooth operation and growth of all aspects of the foundation. The Associate's responsibilities will include supporting project management, workflows, fundraising, and communications.LSIF is a USA-based development organization that supports the global educational, health, and human service network of the De La Salle Christian Brothers (Institute of the Brothers of the Christian Schools). In critical times, it also provides emergency support for humanitarian relief projects around the world. LSIF works closely with Christian Brothers Conference (CBC), the office for the Lasallian Region of North America of the De La Salle Christian Brothers. The LSIF office is based in Romeoville, Illinois, on the campus of Lewis University. The Associate will work from the office in Romeoville, with some remote work options. Limited travel may be required.
Key responsibilities:
• Collaborates with the Executive Director to research, identify, and cultivate corporations, foundations, and individuals to support the foundation's work, including assisting with grant writing and applications.
• Develops project proposals and fields funding requests for identified needs and matched funding opportunities.
• Supports fiscal management by tracking donations, including donor support and recognition and managing the distribution process.
• Develops and manages forms for project plans and requirements tracking to assist staff on site at funded projects in meeting requirements for funding and reporting.
• Communicates with La Salle Foundation in Rome and other Lasallian NGOs on international priorities and project management with donors.
• Manages LSIF calendar of funding opportunities, along with an activities dashboard.
• Assists in developing stories and other materials for the LSIF newsletter and website.
• Manages LSIF social media accounts, including Facebook and Instagram.
• Supports database maintenance.
• Assists Executive Director with preparations for meetings of the board of directors.
• Collaborates with CBC staff regarding LSIF's activities and operations and our mutual support and assistance.
Candidate Profile: The ideal candidate will have an undergraduate degree and experience in working with a nonprofit organization in a fundraising, administrative, or operations role. They will be a clear oral and written communicator, self-starter, independent thinker, and team player, with a strong attention to detail and skilled in organization. They must also have the ability to support our Lasallian Catholic educational mission.
