Susan B. Anthony Pro-Life America (SBA) is the largest pro-life political organization in the country with a nationwide network of more than 1 million Americans. We combine politics with policy, investing heavily in voter education to ensure that pro-life Americans know where their lawmakers stand on protecting the unborn, and in issue advocacy, advancing pro-life laws through direct lobbying and grassroots campaigns.The Executive Assistant serves as the primary contact for all internal and external communications with the Department Lead. They also work to provide administrative and programmatic support. This is a highly confidential role supporting a fast-paced, high-caliber team. The Executive Assistant must be an extremely well organized and professional individual with strong time-management and communication skills, excellent writing and editing skills, strong project management, and a passion for the pro-life cause.
This is a full-time position headquartered in our Arlington, VA office. This role will report directly to the Department Lead. We are hiring this role for multiple departments.
Essential Functions
-Provide administrative and project support to Department Lead including, but not limited, to preparing materials for daily meetings, reconciling expenses, deadline oversight, and providing meeting support (task tracking, meeting minutes, etc.).
-Propose travel and draft itineraries for the Department Lead.
-Track action items to manage and ensure appropriate and timely follow up on internal and external requests for information or decision and coordinate legal compliance for the same. Triage as necessary.
-Safeguard confidential information about the Organization, its donors, and all operational procedures and strategies.
-Serve as a liaison and support the Department Lead in providing accurate, well-researched information in a clear and concise manner.

-Initiative - employee should be proactive in their work and decision making. They are expected to find ways to be of assistance and keep trains moving on programmatic goals.
-Adaptability - employee must be able to adapt to changes and deal easily with managing unexpected events. Multi-tasking and flexibility are a must.
Required Education/Experience

-Excellent writing, editing, and grammatical skills.
-Possess high level of professionalism and confidentiality.
-Proficient in Microsoft Office applications including Teams, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
-Must be pro-life.
Preferred Education/Experience
Previous experience working on Capitol Hill, or in a fast-paced office environment preferred.
Travel
This position may require occasional travel for events in which the Department Lead requires a staff member to accompany them.
Work Environment
This position is headquartered in our Arlington, VA office. This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones and photocopiers.
Physical Demands
-Must be able to perform essential duties satisfactorily with reasonable accommodations.
-Work is generally done sitting, talking, hearing, and typing.
-May be required to lift objects up to 20 lbs.
Position Type/Expected Hours
This position is a full-time position. Hours are typically 8:30 AM - 5:30 PM, Monday-Friday. Some weekend and evening work may be required. This position requires the employee to respond to requests and inquiries outside of normal office hours via phone and email.
Supervisory Responsibility
