Job Description
Fr. Tolton Catholic High School in Columbia, Missouri currently has an opening for a receptionist.Responsibilities:
Screen all visitors while offering polite, professional customer service
Respond to phone calls and emails from parents, students, faculty, staff, and outside parties
Complete a broad variety of administrative tasks
Assist with special projects, such as graduation planning
Design and produce documents, reports, and presentations
Maintains a variety of computerized and manual records, files, and department
databases (e.g. information packets, rosters/listings, calendars, etc.) for the purpose of documenting activities, providing reliable information and complying with school, diocesan, state and federal requirements
Assist with tracking student attendance and enforcing rules regarding truancy
Assist students with basic health needs
Performs other duties as assigned by the President
Qualifications:
Able to maintain a high level of integrity and discretion in handling confidential information
Ability to react with appropriate levels of urgency to situations and events that require quick response or turnaround
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Computer and organizational skills
A high attention to detail
Ability to complete a high volume of tasks with limited supervision
Ability to multitask with frequent interruptions
Hours:
Full-time position
Some overtime during the academic school year
Average 20 - 25 hours per week during June and July
Physical Demands and other requirements:
Ability to perform repetitive physical tasks such as computer keyboarding, writing, and reading
Required to monitor students in a variety of locations including those with noise and activity
Required to maintain composure and to communicate appropriately in words and actions
