Job Description
Nativity of our Lord in Rhinelander, WI is seeking a candidate to fill a part-time Coordinator of Youth Ministry position. (With future potential to expand to a full-time position) Nativity of our Lord is clustered with St John Parish in Pelican Lake, in the beautiful Northwoods of Wisconsin. The parishes have about 490 families with children, including the school and over 30 participating in Junior and Senior Religious Education.To act as a liaison between the Director of Discipleship and Evangelization, parents, and their adolescents. Provide evangelization and catechesis to the youth in grades 7-12. In addition, provide sacramental preparation for those students preparing for the Sacrament of Confirmation. The Coordinator of Youth Ministry must be a practicing Catholic, in good standing with the Church and be a person of prayer who is committed to the authentic teaching of the Catholic faith and will faithfully represent the teachings of the Catholic Church. This position is directly responsible for the Confirmation preparation of our High School students. The position does require some weekend activities, and they report to the director of evangelization or the pastor.
It is our preference that this individual has a bachelor's degree in a faith-based field of study and must have an active and healthy faith life. The candidate must be a practicing Catholic in good standing with a positive attitude and willingness to help our parish grow. The candidate will be required to pass a background check and abide by the policies of the Diocese of Superior.
