Operations Technician

Job Description

Immaculata- La Salle Catholic High School, a private school located in Miami, Florida is looking to hire a full time Operations Technician. This person is responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of a church and school campus by troubleshooting and resolving issues related to HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and building systems. This role also involves working closely with contractors and vendors as needed. The Operations Technician performs all duties and responsibilities in alignment with the mission, vision and values of the Catholic Archdiocese of Miami.

Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED required; bachelor's degree preferred.
5 years' experience with HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems.
Knowledge of 277/480V electrical systems.
Familiarity with kitchen equipment.
Ability to operate and manage BMS systems.
Experience with gate motors and access control systems.
Experience using boom lifts and other heavy equipment.
Direct physical activity may be required to operate machines or processes.
Knowledge of basic safety and security measures and practices.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Effective communication and collaboration skills.
Must be able to lift (up to 25 pounds) and move heavy objects.
Ability to perform physical activities that require considerable use of one's arms and legs and moving whole body, such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, and handling of materials.
Must be flexible regarding availability for school/parish special events on the weekends when necessary.
May require use of personal protective clothing, according to task.
