Position: Kindergarten Teacher

St. Ann Catholic School, Cadillac, MI (www.stanncadillac.org) ~ a leader in Catholic education ~ is seeking a highly qualified certified early childhood educator to work with our early elementary program as a full-time Kindergarten Teacher. This position is an immediate opening and will be posted until the position is filled. The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood, extensive experience working in a classroom, and an Elementary Teaching Certificate or in the process of pursuing.

Qualified candidates:
Strong communication skills and intuitive knowledge of how children think.
CPR and First Aid Certified (will be provided if not already)
Have a passion for and understanding of early childhood development as well as developmentally appropriate practices. Support children in their social/emotional, physical, cognitive and creative growth.
Assist children as they discover literacy and math skills and encourage learning to help them feel successful in their school experience.
Be responsible for developing open lines of communication with families and work towards forming strong relationships with their students.
Communicate and work effectively with other staff.

Job Duties include:
Maintaining a positive and flexible attitude while our program continues
Supervise staff and volunteers in the classroom.
Respect confidentiality of St. Ann families and staff.
Attend continuing education trainings to complete required hours if necessary.
Able to assess children's growth and development.
Maintain and create daily organized lesson plans.
Facilitate developmentally appropriate play and educational activities.
