Job Description
St. Rose of Lima Catholic School, a PreK-8 Catholic School in the Dominican Tradition located in Haddon Heights, NJ, is seeking a Catholic school principal to begin in the 2025-2026 school year. The next principal will nurture a Christian community among parents, students, faculty, and parishioners as the foundation for shared accountability for students' spiritual, academic, social, and emotional growth and success. The principal ensures that students work to their potential and strengthen their God-given talents through strong faith formation, a rigorous curriculum, community, and accountable discipline grounded in Gospel values. The principal will be a strong witness to the Catholic faith and facilitate faculty and student formation through prayer, study, community, and service.Application

Qualifications
1) Practicing Catholic who possesses the knowledge and skills to share and live the truths of the Catholic Faith with students, parents, and staff
2) Master's Degree
3) Seven years of experience in education, preferably in Catholic Schools.
4) Administrative experience (preferred)
5) NJ administrative certificate, or equivalent (preferred)
6) Evidence of competency in management, communication, collaborative skills
Selected Responsibilities
Catholic Identity
• Serve as the primary spiritual leader and religious educator of the school, active in living and promoting the Catholic faith
• Establish and uphold a discipline infrastructure grounded in Catholic values and discipleship of Jesus Christ that holds all students accountable for meeting high expectations
• Establish and sustain among faculty, staff, students, and parents a shared commitment to the Catholic identity of the school that integrates Church teaching and traditions with social justice and service to each other and the broader community
• Ensure that the faith is an integral part of the school curriculum, that the diocesan curriculum for Religious Studies is used at all grades, and that the school is a partner with parents in the Catholic formation of their children
Programmatic Excellence
• Ensure that teachers regularly collaborate with each other and use data and input from multiple sources to provide excellent instruction that supports the academic growth and achievement of all students
• Establish and maintain an effective system of assessment that includes formative, summative, performance, and standardized assessments
• Provide for the ongoing professional learning of all teachers, including the use of effective teaching strategies for all students, in collaboration with the Office of Catholic Schools and diocesan initiatives
• Engage parents and parishioners in the development and implementation of a diverse range of extracurricular and co-curricular experiences that complement the core curriculum
Operational Vitality
• Work with the pastor and the relevant parish and diocesan staff to establish and adhere to a yearly school budget, implementing diocesan budget procedures and guidelines
• Establish appropriate goals for advancement, fundraising, and enrollment and supervise the relevant staff in pursuing effective strategies for realizing them
• Communicate regularly and effectively with all school stakeholders, including: pastor, parents, teachers, parishioners, parish staff, diocesan staff, funders, and others
• Ensure that the school adheres to all local and diocesan policies and relevant laws and that it maximizes the use of resources allocated to students by state and federal agencies
