PreKindergarten Teacher

Job Description

Blessed Sacrament Catholic Academy is seeking to fill a PreKindergarten teaching vacancy beginning in February, 2025. This is a private, tuition-based PreK program with a focus on academics and faith formation.

The requirements for this position are:

A minimum of a bachelor's degree

New York State Certification/or Proof of Pathway to NYS Certification

Work collaboratively with faculty and staff

Plan and develop lessons aligned to the New York State Next Generation Standards

Ability to create opportunities for students to demonstrate evidence of knowledge of topics.

Ability to integrate technology in the classroom.

Have strong classroom management skills.

Professional skills are a must

Actively participate in ongoing professional development

Be a part of a close, supportive faith community.

Be a practicing Catholic

The candidate must also comply with the Article 43 regulations set forth by the NYCDOH.
