Position Title: Processing Specialist

Reports to: Donor Database Administrator

Mission Statement: Thomas More Society (TMS) is a not-for-profit, national public interest law firm dedicated to restoring respect in law for life, family, and freedom. Based in Chicago, Thomas More Society defends and fosters support for these causes by providing high quality pro bono legal services from local trial courts all the way to the United States Supreme Court.

Position Summary: The Processing Specialist will be responsible for accurate data entry into the donor database.

Logistics: Position will be located on-site at the TMS Headquarters in downtown Chicago. Salary ranges from $50,000-$55,000 per year.

Responsibilities:

• Scan donation checks and accompanying documents into the CheckScan system.
• Using the CheckScan system, carefully verify scanned information to accurately confirm data before uploading to DonorPerfect database.
• Enter credit card donations into Anedot processing program.
• Accurately prepare Anedot spreadsheets for import into DonorPerfect.
• Assist Donor Database Administrator with donor database management.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Experience and Skill Requirements:

• Associate or Bachelor degree in related field preferred.
• Experience in not-for-profit business environment and/or financial field preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Knowledge of database entry, DonorPerfect a plus.
• Proficient with Microsoft 365 (Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams, etc.)
