Job Description

SUMMARY: This position is responsible for directing financial activities of the Agency.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

Manages the accounts payable, accounts receivable and cash functions to ensure and maintain propriety of the General Ledger for each program.

Coordinates all reporting of grant award billings to ensure that Agency receives all funds to which it is entitled to receive.

Prepares financial reports that summarize and forecast Agency activity and financial position in areas of revenue, expenses, and earnings based on past, present, and expected operations.

Analyzes financial information, budget variances, & other information to evaluate current and projected financial position.

Directs and coordinates preparation of budgets.

Manages month-end and year-end process.

Establishes, recommends and presents to Chief Executive Officer and Board of Directors, various financial reports, major economic objectives and policies for Agency.

Evaluates need for procurement of funds and treasury management

Coordinates the audits for the Agency's financial statements. Ensures proper records are maintained to facilitate the audit.

Develops policies for accounting collection.

Oversees and prepares reports required by regulatory agencies.

Oversees and directs preparation of the financial section of the Annual Report.

Serves as a member of the Agency's management team in sharing information, decision making and implementing policies and procedures.

Promotes staff professional growth through established training requirements.

Represents the Agency in the community and workplace in a professional and ethical manner.

Demonstrates sensitivity to the service population's cultural and socioeconomic characteristics.

Demonstrates strong interpersonal, decision-making, problem-solving, oral, and written skills.

Utilizes proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: Bachelor's Degree in a related field of study required with ten years of experience. Five years of supervisory experience is required. CPA certification preferred. Not-for-profit experience a plus.
