Middle School Aide and Academic Coach

Job Description

Spiritus Sanctus Academy, Plymouth, Michigan,is accepting applications for an enthusiastic and committed Middle School Aide for the Middle school Team of Teachers for the remainder of the 2024-2025 school year.

The Teachers' Aide will assist the middle school team of teachers with executive and clerical tasks, and as an Academic Coach, reinforce the instruction taught in the classroom to students. This can include assisting students during instruction, providing individual or small group instruction, and participating in student assessment.

The Teacher's Aide will also participate supervising the middle school students outside of the classroom on the playground, in the lunchroom, during breaks, study halls and on field trips.

The aide will help organize the classroom and put supplies in order, and help with the integration of technology into the classroom.

Teachers' aide will as also plan and help run special activities, retreats, and formation programs/presentations.

Successful candidates will possess the following qualifications:

A practicing Catholic, passionate about creating and nurturing a Catholic culture in the classroom and throughout the school;

Strong communication and organizational skills, and the ability to work as a member of a team.

Previous experience working with Catholic youth and/or teaching in a Catholic school is preferred.

Participation in the VIRTUS program, or proof of such participation, will be required.
