Job Description

Within the vision of the Pastor and under the direct supervision of the Director of Evangelization, the full time Coordinator of Youth Formation will create and implement a comprehensive program for young people of the parish. This vision is to include components of catechesis, community life, evangelization, service opportunities, leadership development, pastoral care, prayer, and worship. This position is intended to be filled in the Fall of 2024.

Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
Oversee the parish's efforts to support and form the young people of the parish. This will include engaging both the lay and clerical staff of the parish. Seize this opportunity to think "outside the box" and create a ministry effort tailored to St. Elizabeth Seton. Collaborate with other parishes and dioceses and leverage effective ideas to address the needs of young people.

Three areas of focus to include:
1) Junior High students
2) High School students
3) Young Adults

DESIRED MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Education/Experience: Bachelor's degree preferred with course work in youth ministry, religious education, and/or theology preferred. Demonstrated knowledge of the Catholic Faith and Church Doctrine.

Skills: Strong organization and communication skills, ability to manage more than one project/event at one time is essential. Able to make good decisions; to resolve conflicts, teach and manage adults and teens. Goal oriented and team focused.
