Job Description
Providence Academy, an independent, Pre-K through Grade 12, private, Catholic, classical academy located in La Crosse, Wisconsin, is looking for a dynamic individual who will be entrusted with the responsibility to uphold and advance the school's Catholic, classical education, mission and vision. This position will be responsible for overall administration of the upper and lower schools including, but not limited to, manage, hire, and develop exceptional faculty and staff; oversee and assist with the implementation of instructional strategies and curriculum unique to a classical academy; effectively communicate with the school's Board of Directors, upper and lower school deans, faculty, parents, donors and vendors; cultivate and foster student life; administer school policies; manage the school's physical campus; promote the school within the community; facilitate growth and management of new families, and work closely with the Board to identify goals and fulfill its strategic plans, including fundraising objectives.All applicants must be a practicing Roman Catholic and must support and exemplify Catholic doctrine and morality in a manner consistent with the teachings of the Magisterium of the Catholic Church. Requirements include: teaching for a minimum of five years and/or administrative experience deemed suitable by the Board for at least three years, must have proven leadership experience with classical education or a great books curriculum development preferred; comprehensive knowledge of the principles and practices of school administration; ability to establish and maintain working relationships, a strong work ethic and ability to work independently to solve problems, and effective oral and written communication skills. A masters degree in a related field is preferrable but not required.
