St. Benedict Parish, Canandaigua, NY seeks qualified candidates for a Pastoral Associate of Stewardship and Ministry. This position is responsible for assisting the pastor in leading the parish's ministry programs and building up our parishes in a spirit of stewardship. This role involves supervising volunteers and coordinating with staff on common objectives and assisting the pastor with supervision of all parish ministries.

Essential Functions:
Manage paid and unpaid teams to effectively coordinate and supervise all catechetical and sacramental processes.
Uphold and align with the vision of the pastor on building up the ministries of the parish.
Facilitate and monitor the processes for Baptism, Marriage, First Penance, First Communion, and Confirmation.
Assist in recommending policy for the continued integration and development of St. Mary's School within the parish.
Plan and engage in stewardship and development events for the parish. This includes retreats, luncheons, dinners, and other social events that might be used to that end.
Oversee a large visitation ministry and supervise Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion that visit our very large community of seniors and disabled.
Ministry Responsibilities:
Facilitate and oversee the theological content and administration of OCIA and all Sacramental Preparation. Assist the parish by building up these existing ministries.
Oversee and assist in supervising Faith Formation and participating as needed.
Facilitate the development of small Christian communities in the parish.
Assist with record keeping; scheduling; and other administrative tasks as needed. Order supplies as needed.
Assist the pastor with operational concerns as needed.
Be present at liturgical celebrations.
Position Qualifications:
Degree in Theology preferred (Related fields acceptable)
Experience in working/volunteering in the parish/diocesan level
Strong organization skills highly preferred
Proficient with digital media and social media
Public speaking and strong interpersonal/social skills
Able to work joyfully with others
Strong or developing leadership skills
