Director of Parish Mission (Director of Evangelization & Discipleship)

Position Description:
Holy Cross Catholic Parish is looking to hire a full-time Director of Parish Mission (Director of Evangelization & Discipleship).

We are a Catholic parish of 2800+ families located in the Diocese of Madison, WI, with 5 church locations (St. Bernard in Middleton, St. Francis Xavier in Cross Plains, St. Martin of Tours in Martinsville, St. Mary in Pine Bluff, and St. Peter in Ashton) just west of Madison.

The Director of Parish Mission's office is located at St. Bernard in Middleton, with occasional work at our other locations. This position includes the following responsibilities (among others):

• Collaborating with the pastor, other priests, and staff to implement and advance the parish's mission to make missionary disciples in our local communities.
• Helping to create/promote a culture of evangelization and discipleship throughout the parish.
• Supervising and supporting our other discipleship formation (faith formation) staff.
• Overseeing/leading OCIA (Order of Christian Initiation of Adults; formerly RCIA) and assisting people who want to join the Catholic Church.
• Collaborating with our Coordinator of Adult Formation to offer additional adult formation opportunities (bible studies, men's/women's groups, etc.).
• Overseeing our infant baptism preparation process.
• Assisting with our marriage preparation process and post-marriage enrichment programs.

Qualifications:
Candidates for this position should be faithful and practicing Catholics who love Jesus Christ and His Church, and who are committed to growing as Christian disciples themselves. They should also be passionate about helping people of all ages encounter God in a life transforming sort of way and equipping them to grow as disciples. Candidates should possess at least a Bachelor's Degree in theology, ministry, religious studies, or some other related field (a Master's Degree is preferable). Candidates should also have at least 3-5 years of prior ministry/formation/parish work.

Candidates should also be strong leaders, self-starters, able to work both independently and collaboratively with others, excellent communicators, well organized, and energetic/outgoing.
