Monsignor M. Clarke SchoolDirector of Admissions and Development
Position Summary
Monsignor Matthew F. Clarke Catholic Regional School, a co-educational Pre-K - Grade 8 school at 5074 Tower Hill Road in Wakefield RI seeks a Director of Admissions and Development to play a vital leadership role within the school community. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and implementing strategies to attract and retain families and students. Additionally, this person will foster relationships with donors and stakeholders to secure financial support for the school. The Director, who reports directly to the Principal, will work collaboratively with other school leadership, staff, and the community to advance and promote the school
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
School Advocacy and Branding:
• Foster meaningful relationships with prospective and new families.
• Lead school tours to prospective school families.
• Promote the mission of Catholic education within the broader community.
• Build and maintain relationships with major donors, businesses, and community partners.
• Share the good news of the school through media coverage, social media platforms, website content, and multi-channel marketing strategies.
Development and Fundraising:
• Create compelling fundraising materials and proposals.
• Track and report on fundraising progress and metrics.
• Ensure proper stewardship of donations and gifts.
• Plan and execute annual giving campaigns and fundraising initiatives.
• Identify, cultivate, and solicit major gift prospects
• Manage donor databases (e.g., Bloomerang) to ensure accurate data entry, gift documentation, and donor acknowledgments.
Admissions:
• Collaborate with leadership and business manager to establish annual enrollment targets and create action plans to achieve them.
• Analyze enrollment trends, market conditions, and demographic data to inform recruitment strategies.
• Provide regular reports on enrollment.
• Direct all aspects of the admissions process from prospect cultivation through enrollment.
• Establish and maintain admissions criteria and policies.
• Supervise, train, and mentor ambassadors.
• Collaborate with business manager to develop student aid strategies.
Alumni Relations:
• Design and implement comprehensive alumni engagement strategies (e.g. tile wall, events, promote achievements beyond MCS).
• Create and oversee alumni volunteer programs.
• Maintain regular communication with alumni through various channels.
• Manage alumni database and ensure data accuracy.
Qualifications
• A Catholic in good standing with the Church who is a disciple who witnesses to others from one's own relationship with Jesus Christ.
• Passionate about Catholic education.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to craft compelling narratives.
• Proficiency in technology tools, including G Suite, MS Office, CRM software (e.g., Raiser's Edge), and social media platforms.
• Ability to build and sustain collaborative relationships.
• Commitment to Catholic stewardship principles.
• Bachelor's degree is required
• 3-5 years of experience in admissions, fundraising, development, marketing, and/or public relations, preferably in a nonprofit or educational environment. Experience with a Catholic school preferable.
• Ability to travel locally to meet donors and attend events.
• Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as needed.
• Must pass a national background check with fingerprinting.
Reporting Relationships:
Reports directly to the Principal.
