Director of Religious Education

Job Description

St. Mary's is looking to fill a full time position for a director of religious education. St. Mary's religious education is a family-based program which seeks to form and engage parents as the primary teachers and formators in their children's religious development. The position would include planning, coordinating, and teaching for the program. Furthermore, the DRE would need to be able to formulate material for the program which helps the participants to engage the intellectual tradition of Catholicism, while connecting this with the daily practice of their faith. The DRE hired would also be expected to build relationships with the participants of the program so as to assist them personally in the growth of their faith through accountability and encouragement. St. Mary's is seeking a candidate with education in theology, and a deep and serious personal investment in the practice of his or her own faith.
