Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

Ministry Vision and Leadership
- Lead the overall vision, development, and execution of discipleship efforts for children
(grades K-5) and youth (grades 6-12).
- Collaborate with the Pastor, Associate Pastor, Director of Adult Formation, and
Administrative Assistant for Faith Formation as part of the Faith Formation Team,
ensuring consistency and alignment across age groups.
Evangelization & Discipleship
- Build a culture of missionary discipleship among our children and youth-leading them
to encounter Jesus personally, grow in relationship with Him, and live as His disciples.
- Create and facilitate opportunities for evangelization through retreats, service, small
groups, social gatherings, prayer experiences, and sacramental preparation.
- Serve as a joyful, faithful witness of Catholic life, drawing youth and families into deeper
participation in the life of the Church.
Volunteer Development
- Recruit, train, and spiritually form adult catechists and youth ministry volunteers to serve
as disciple-makers and mentors.
- Offer ongoing support, encouragement, and leadership to volunteer teams, cultivating a
strong sense of mission and community.

Program Coordination

- Oversee and coordinate all logistics for child and youth faith formation programming
(including sacramental preparation, catechesis, and events).
- Ensure that curriculum and resources are theologically sound, engaging, and age-
appropriate.
- Manage registration, communication, calendars, and supplies in collaboration with the
Administrative Assistant for Faith Formation.
Communication & Relationship Building
- Maintain strong relationships with children, teens, and their families, demonstrating a
welcoming, trustworthy, and pastoral presence.
- Communicate regularly with parents and the parish community through emails, bulletins,
social media, and personal outreach.
- Collaborate with parish staff and school staff (St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic School)
to support a unified vision of formation.

Qualifications:

- A practicing Catholic in good standing, with a deep love for Christ and His Church.
- Passion for evangelization and discipleship, especially among children and youth.
- Proven ability to work relationally and collaboratively with children, teens, parents, and
volunteers.
- Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
- Experience in catechesis, youth ministry, or related evangelization work preferred.
- A degree in theology, catechetics, pastoral ministry, or a related field is preferred, but
equivalent experience will be considered.
- Must be able to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
