Children's Sacrament Preparation Coordinator

Job Description

Are you passionate about sharing the Gospel with children and guiding them through their sacramental journey? St. Thomas More Parish is a vibrant and welcoming community dedicated to nurturing the spiritual growth of our youngest members. We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Children's Sacrament Coordinator to join our team.

Hours & Pay: $20-$25/hour; typically, 30-35 hours/week. Expected to work some weeknights and weekends.

Responsibilities:
Coordinate and schedule classes for the Sacrament Preparation Program.
Direct the First Reconciliation Sacrament for children and oversee the planning and execution of First Communion/Confirmation Masses, also known as Restored Order.
Maintain records of student progress and sacrament completion.
Recruit, train, and manage volunteers to assist with the program.

Requirements
Experience in administrative and teaching work.
Strong organizational and communication skills.
Knowledge of Catholic sacraments and religious education is preferred. Degree in Education, and/or Theology, or a related field preferred, but not required.
Be a fully initiated Catholic in communion with the Catholic Church and intentionally living out the five precepts of the Church (CCC 2041-2043).
Refrain from promotion or approval of, or the living out of, any conduct or lifestyle that would reflect discredit or disgrace on, or cause scandal in relationship to, the Archdiocese of Denver, or considered to be in contradiction with Catholic doctrine or morals.
