Job Description

The Diocese of Springfield in Illinois is looking to add an energetic, friendly team member! The Administrative Assistant supports the mission of the Safe Environment Office primarily by executing and monitoring the background check process for clergy, employees, and volunteers of the various Diocesan agencies. This involves entry and recordkeeping of training data and criminal history background checks for the members of the Diocese in compliance with the United States Catholic Conference of Bishops, (USCCB) Office of Child and Youth Protection's Safe Environment Program. This position provides direct support to parishes and schools regarding the USCCB Charter for the Protection of Young People and its Essential Norms.
