Head of Schools

Job Description

The Head of School will play a pivotal role in leading St. Catherine of Siena Academy, fostering its mission to provide a Catholic, classical liberal arts education. The ideal candidate will be deeply rooted in the Catholic faith and demonstrate an unwavering commitment to nurturing a vibrant and faithful Catholic culture within the Academy

Key Responsibilities:
Oversee faculty and staff, ensuring alignment with the Academy's mission, vision and guiding virtues.
Implement and evaluate the curriculum in collaboration with the Governing Board and curriculum committee.
Maintain accurate and comprehensive administrative records.
Teach one class as part of the school's academic offerings.
Lead grant writing initiatives to support the Academy's financial health.
Serve as the primary point of contact for current and prospective families.
Interface with local school districts and Boards of Cooperative Educational Services (BOCES).
Provide monthly reports to the Governing Board.

Required Qualifications:
An active and practicing Catholic who demonstrates dedication to Catholic education, including a letter of endorsement from the candidate's pastor.
Strong leadership skills and the ability to cultivate a joyful and thriving school community.
Experience in administrative leadership, curriculum implementation, and grant writing.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong organizational and financial management skills.
Enthusiasm for growing a Catholic school and sustaining a culture of academic excellence and faith formation.

Desired Qualifications:
Advanced degree in education, theology, or a related field.
Familiarity with classical liberal arts education.
Previous experience in Catholic school leadership.
Proven success in enrollment growth and community engagement.
