Job Description

SUMMARY
The focus of the Advancement Coordinator (AC) is to develop and manage a portfolio of annual fund and mid-level mission partners (donors) by initiating, cultivating, soliciting, and stewarding relationships with individuals, couples, and families who partner financially with Biking for Babies. In addition to mission partner stewardship, the AC will participate in obtaining adequate financial resources to support the organization and its goals by supporting fundraising initiatives and grant applications when appropriate. The Advancement Coordinator is an exempt, full-time salaried position that reports directly to the Director of Mission Advancement (DMA).

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Fundraising & Stewarding Mission Partners
• Manage a portfolio of national mission partners through the various phases of fund development.
• Secure financial gifts with an annual goal from both existing and new mission partners
• Create and execute a marketing and communication plan for each tier of supporters including but not limited to mass email communications and solicitations, thank you calls for annual fund and mid-level mission partners, and print communications
• Qualify mission partners as candidates for major gift engagement and work alongside DMA to facilitate a smooth transition to major gifts for qualified mission partners
• Support DMA in conducting research to solicit new major gifts
• Ensure professional and timely response to both internal and external financial and mission partner requests
• Regularly engage with mission partners, securing individual gifts and meeting objectives, such as increasing the number of monthly recurring givers
• Support missionary fundraising efforts, including but not limited to their fundraising goal discernment, partnering with Team Leaders to follow up with missionaries, mentor and guide missionaries, and develop fundraising resources as needed
• Research and write grant applications and fundraising letters

Data Management
• Ensure the database is accurate with mission partner and key supporter data, call and visit notes, passions and interests, and reasons for moving the supporter to major gifts
• Improve Bloomerang systems by organizing and restructuring profiles to ensure accurate data
Other Tasks
• Participate in the enhancement of Biking for Babies' image by being active and visible at relevant local and national events.
• Support DMA in planning and executing the Philly Ride for Life
• Develop and maintain relationships with academics, political leaders, church leaders, community leaders, and government leaders as needed.
• Network at events and online with organizations and others who can support and promote Biking for Babies' mission.
• Demonstrate leadership, humility and excitement for all areas of missionary formation and pregnancy resource center partnership
• Other duties as assigned by DMA and Executive Director

TIME COMMITMENT
• 40 hours per week
• Hours are flexible and will require availability for nights and weekends
• Attend and actively participate on fundraising-related missionary virtual calls, Executive Team calls, and other calls needed to support the organization
• Travel in your area and out of state occasionally throughout the year for
o Mission partner visits
o National Ride involvement (full participation not required but will be discussed) & Celebration of Life
o Annual Board Retreat (potentially)
o Annual Executive Retreat (potentially)
o Subject to other travel - conferences, pro-life and other networking events

QUALIFICATIONS
• Embody Servant Leadership, be driven by the Biking for Babies mission, committed to living out the Gospel of Life and inspire others into action
• A bachelor's degree and at least 2 years of nonprofit fundraising or sales experience
• Interested in a tangible and exciting opportunity in the pro-life movement and demonstrate a commitment to promoting the Biking for Babies mission
• Proficient in MS Office Suite (particularly Excel and Sharepoint) and open to using a donor database, research and other wealth screening tools to aid in the moves management process.
• An analytical mind with a strategic and critical-thinking ability
• Excellent written, oral, and communication skills
• Transparent and high integrity leadership
• Ability to interface, collaborate and engage diverse mission partners, staff, board members, missionaries, and volunteers
• Be comfortable advocating and soliciting support for Biking for Babies
• Strong organization and time management skills with the ability to work without distraction
• Be a team player and motivated to learn with a strong desire to take on a new challenge
• Prior volunteer or work experience in the pro-life movement is highly desirable
