Job Description
Function:The Director of Advancement leads Christ the Redeemer Catholic School's efforts in strategic fundraising, donor cultivation, and relationship-building to advance the school's mission. This role focuses on fostering a culture of philanthropy within the school community, cultivating relationships with current and prospective donors, and implementing long-term strategies to meet and exceed fundraising goals. The Director works collaboratively with school leadership, faculty, staff, and volunteers to enhance development efforts and ensure sustainable growth.

Responsibilities:
Duties of the Director of Advancement Relating to Faith:
• Maintain a Christian atmosphere in the Catholic school.
• Support and implement the philosophy and mission of Catholic education and that of Christ the Redeemer Catholic School.
• Serve as a positive Christian role model for students, parents, fellow staff members, and the larger community.
• Actively participate in nurturing the growth of Catholic faith within the community.
Duties of the Director of Advancement Relating to Fundraising and Major Gifts:
• Develop and execute a comprehensive fundraising strategy, identifying, cultivating, soliciting, and stewarding major donors.
• Build and maintain meaningful relationships with individual donors, foundations, and corporate partners to secure transformational gifts.
• Plan and implement targeted campaigns, including annual giving, planned giving, and capital campaigns, with a focus on donor retention and growth.
• Manage donor stewardship efforts, including acknowledgment letters, reports, and personalized follow-ups.
• Track and analyze fundraising data to evaluate the effectiveness of initiatives and identify areas for growth.
• Collaborate with the principal and Business Manager to ensure all fundraising initiatives align with the school's strategic priorities.
Duties of the Director of Advancement Relating to Leadership and Collaboration:
• Work closely with the Principal, Business Manager, and Advancement Committee to align fundraising initiatives with the school's strategic priorities.
• Serve as a key spokesperson and representative of the school to external stakeholders, fostering partnerships that support CtRCS's mission and goals.
• Partner with faculty, administration, and parent volunteers to strengthen the culture of philanthropy and support community-wide fundraising initiatives.
• Engage in collaborative planning with the parish and school leadership to maximize opportunities for growth and mission advancement.
Duties of the Director of Advancement Relating to Event Management and Community Engagement:
• Support the Activities/Volunteer Coordinator in the planning and execution of donor-focused events to enhance engagement and demonstrate donor impact.
• Assist the Activities/Volunteer Coordinator in overseeing initiatives such as alumni outreach, grandparent involvement, and other community-based fundraising opportunities to broaden the school's network of support.
• Work alongside the Activities/Volunteer Coordinator to engage the volunteer community, encourage widespread parent involvement, and contribute to the successful implementation of fundraising-related events.
Duties of the Director of Advancement Relating to Marketing and Communications (Supportive Role):
• Collaborate with the Communications Director to craft compelling messaging for fundraising campaigns and donor appeals.
• Assist in the creation of annual reports, donor impact statements, and other promotional materials that highlight the school's achievements and priorities.
• Work with the Communications Director to develop marketing plans that effectively promote giving opportunities and school initiatives.
Duties of the Director of Advancement Relating to Professional Performance:
• Take advantage of opportunities to further professional growth.
• Participate in scheduled in-service opportunities and attend meetings as designated by the principal.
• Maintain a professional attitude, appearance, and manner which strengthen respect for the advancement profession and Christ the Redeemer Catholic School.
• Demonstrate positive interpersonal skills in working with students, parents, donors, faculty, and the larger community.
• Maintain an appropriate level of respect for staff, students, and donors.
Additional Duties of the Director of Advancement:
• Accept willingly any reasonable special assignment requested by the principal or pastor.
• Attend monthly board meetings.
