Job Description

YOUR ROLE: As the Staff Accountant, you will be reporting to the CFO and HR Director with financial analyses and reports. Your responsibilities will include the preparation of timely, accurate monthly management accounts and other appropriate financial information to present to the board of directors.
You will be a leader in the organization's finances and take responsibility for the financial oversight of all operations within the organization by managing the day-to-day bookkeeping. You may also be required to work closely with various other key stakeholders of the executive team on ad hoc projects.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:
- Managing the day-to-day bookkeeping and accounts receivable and accounts payable.
- Serving as the point of contact for all vendor contracts and invoices.
- Producing monthly management accounts and reports with strict adherence to company policies and timetables.
- Assisting the CFO in preparing and monitoring performance against forecasts and budgets.
- Maintaining an in-depth understanding of the key drivers of the business in order to derive clear and succinct analyses of the ongoing financial performance of operations.
- Ensuring compliance with relevant local tax, accounting, auditing, and external reporting requirements.
- Leading and coordinating the annual external audit.
- Providing analysis and strategic insight to executive management on a proactive and as-requested basis.
- Continually seeking to improve productivity and efficiency through the development of processes and controls.
- Building and nurturing relationships with key internal and external parties including banks, auditors, board, and legal counsel.

WHAT YOU NEED:
- Fully qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) with at least 5 years of post-qualification experience.
- Strong focus on controls and processes and high attention to detail.
- Up-to-date technical skills for preparing statutory accounts.
- The ability to work closely with external stakeholders.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for engaging and ensuring processes are being followed.
- Confidence to challenge executive opinions and maintain positive working relationship.
- Familiarity with Quickbooks Online.
- Familiarity with 501c3, 501c4, and PAC entities.
- Passion for the mission of CatholicVote.

LOCATION:
- Work may be performed seated for long periods of time with close PC and keyboard work.
- Normal office environment and noise levels. Average lift less than 10 lbs.
- This position is remote.
