Job Description

Accounts Payable Specialist
St. John's Jesuit High School & Academy, an all-boys Jesuit Catholic school serving close to 750 young men in Northwest, Ohio, is seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounts Payable Specialist to join our business office team. This part-time position offers an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment that frequently interacts with students, parents, and colleagues. This position is part-time and averages 30-35 hours per week depending on departmental needs.

Key Responsibilities:
-Process invoices, purchase orders, and payment requests
-Ensure timely and accurate payment of expenses
-Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies
-Maintain accounts payable records and documentation
-Organize, distribute and track schoolbooks
-Collaborate with colleagues to ensure smooth financial operations
-Respond to inquiries from staff, parents, and vendors in a friendly and professional manner
-Serve as the first and primary person to greet visitors to the business office in a friendly, welcoming and professional manner

Successful candidates will possess a previous experience with data, accounts payable or general accounting, strong attention to detail and the ability to work with accuracy, ability to multitask and handle frequent interruptions in the workspace, strong interpersonal and communication skills, and proficiency in Microsoft Office. Ability to successfully pass BCI/FBI background checks and Diocese of Toledo Protecting Youth Requirements is required. Candidates must act in a way to aid in the formation of Men for Others through the Graduate-at-Graduation; loving, open to growth, intellectually competent, religious, and committed to doing justice.
