Job Description

Trinity Executive Partnership is assisting Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of Galveston-Houston in their recruitment of a new Chief Operating Officer.

For more than 80 years, Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of Galveston-Houston (CCGH) has provided food, clothing, shelter and a network of support services to people of all ages and from all walks of life and religious backgrounds, promoting social justice, and serving as a voice for the poor and vulnerable. CCGH, a nationally recognized and accredited non-profit organization, is a member agency of the United Way of Greater Houston and a member of Catholic Charities USA, one of the largest private networks of social services providers in the country. CCGH typically serves more than 100,000 clients annually and has an annual budget of over $100 million.

Summary:

The Chief Operating Officer (COO) serves as the strategic right hand to the CEO, providing leadership and oversight in key operational areas including Facilities Management, Construction, Security, Information Technology, Finance, and Support Services. The COO plays a vital role in shaping the direction of the organization, aligning mission, vision, and strategic priorities with the day-to-day execution of priorities and initiatives.

Qualifications and Experience:

- Master's Degree in Business, Finance, Accounting or related field, CPA or other relevant professional certification strongly preferred
- Demonstrated understanding of the operations and program functions supported, including best practice processes and the data architecture required to support the related compliance and performance reporting
- Demonstrated experience in leading strategic planning and implementation plan development
- Demonstrated understanding of the safety procedures and technology to ensure security of persons and data across all facilities
- Strong analytic, data-driven and process design mindset
- Personal alignment with the teachings of and active participation in the Catholic Church
