Job Description

Position: Associate - Client Manager
Reporting to: Managing Partner
Classification: Full Time/Exempt

Position Description:

JKT Group is searching for an Associate to work in its Foundations and Trust Practice. The department is responsible for building, managing, and growing Catholic foundations. Clients include the Saint John XXIII Foundation supporting the Archdiocese for the Military Services, the Catholic Foundation for the Diocese of Colorado Springs, the Basilica of the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception Preservation Trust, and new diocesan clients who will onboard in early 2025.

Reporting directly to the Managing Partner and working alongside the department's other Associate, position will manage a portfolio of 2-3 clients. This will include developing foundations, donor engagement, event planning, creation of marketing materials, database management, donor letter processing, and all work associated with corporate governance of the foundations including preparations for board and committee meetings, drafting corporate resolutions, and maintaining corporate file.

This is an excellent opportunity to gain a comprehensive understanding of the creation, operation, and management of small to mid-sized foundations through hands-on experience and on-the-job training. This is the perfect opportunity for a young professional who aspires to serve as the future executive director of a nonprofit foundation or corporation.

As JKT Group continues to grow and engage new clients, the duties and responsibilities of the position may evolve in order to meet the needs of the firm and our clients.

Essential duties and responsibilities are defined by client needs and will include, but are not limited to:

1. CORPORATE GOVERNANCE: All work related to the governance of the clients within their portfolio including, but not limited to, drafting corporate documents, overseeing all aspects of board of directors and committee work, all preparation for board meetings, attending board meeting and keeping corporate minutes/maintaining corporate file.

2. DEVELOPMENT: The position will be responsible for building and managing client database, planning client fundraising events, drafting gift solicitation and acknowledgement letters, processing gifts, working with major donors to ensure impact of their gift.

3. MARKETING: Position will create, manage, and maintain client website, draft marketing material including conference banners, pamphlets, and online tools, draft press releases related to clients work.

4. GENERAL ADMINISTRATION: Position will perform all work associated with their client's general operations including gift tracking, file maintenance, maintain banking and investment information, gift transfers, and grant requests/funding.

5. Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree required, Masters or above preferred

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

1. EXCELLENT writing, editing, and proofreading skills
2. Excellent verbal communications
3. Attention to detail
4. Ability to multitask and pivot between several projects
5. Flexibility to adjust when needs change
6. Excellent organizational skills and ability to maintain professional database and file system
7. Must be able to maintain confidential communication
8. Proficient in Microsoft word, familiarity with desktop publishing and design a plus.
9. Must be a results-driven and motivated individual with a willingness to learn while working as part of a team
10. Willingness to work in support of religious institutions
11. Willingness and ability to travel.
