Job Description

Holy Cross High School is searching for qualified candidates to fulfill a new position in their History Department.

Candidates will be responsible for teaching Regents level course work as well as possible elective courses which includes Political Science and Global History 2. Teachers must:
• Plan and implement curriculum aligned with the Common Core Learning Standards.
• Tailor curriculum to engage students with computer-supported instruction.
• Design and implement assessments that measure progress towards academic standards.
• Participate in the school community and professional development.
• Effectively manage all classes.
• Communicate and collaborate effectively with students, families, and colleagues.

Successful candidates will have:
• A Bachelor's or Master's (preferred) degree in education or a related field.
• Excellent oral and written skills.
• Outstanding interpersonal and teamwork skills.

Additional opportunities are available for moderating the clubs or coaching sports.
