Job Description

Holy Cross High School is searching for qualified candidate for a teacher in their English Department.

*** This is a Leave Replacement Position***
Candidate would start on Monday, October 28, 2024

Candidates will be responsible for Regents level coursework in English Language Arts. Teachers must:
• Plan and implement curriculum aligned with New York State Common Core learning standards.
• Tailor curriculum to engage students with computer-supported instruction.
• Design and implement assessments that measure progress towards academic standards.
• Participate in the school community and professional development.
• Effectively manage all classes.
• Communicate and collaborate effectively with students, families, and colleagues.

Successful candidates will have
• Bachelor's or Master's (preferred) degree in education or a related field.
• Excellent oral and written skills.
• Outstanding interpersonal and teamwork skills.
