Job Description

Schlarman Academy, a PK-12 Catholic school in Danville, IL, seeks its next Academy Principal, ready to keep the light at the "top of the hill" shining brightly for the next generation of Hilltoppers. The position is available for July 1, 2025.

Schlarman Academy has been a staple of the Danville area for eighty years. Sponsored by the Catholic Diocese of Peoria, the school provides a holistic Catholic education centered upon the pillars of Family, Academics, Involvement, Tradition, and Honor (F.A.I.T.H.). Schlarman Academy is fully accredited by the AdvancEd Association and is a member of the National Catholic Education Association, Illinois Elementary School Association, and Illinois High School Association. The Academy's outstanding college-prep curriculum level includes honors, Advanced Placement, and dual enrollment college courses. Many Schlarman Academy graduates receive academic and athletic scholarships for their post-secondary education.

The next Academy Principal will be able to build upon the school's strong traditions by working closely with the Catholic Diocese of Peoria and a close-knit community of families, faculty, and staff. Additionally, the Danville area offers an affordable cost of living, a strong sense of community, and numerous parks and recreational areas ideal for outdoor pursuits.

The search committee seeks candidates who are capable and comfortable providing strong organizational, operational, and faith leadership. Applicants must be professed and practicing Catholics and hold an advanced degree in education or related fields. The competitive salary range reflects the value of this mission-critical position.

Interested leaders are encouraged to contact Chris Keavy, our lead search counsel, to schedule an informal, confidential conversation.
