Job Description

St. John Neumann Catholic Parish, in Miami, Florida, is seeking a mission-driven Coordinator of Youth Faith Formation to lead catechesis and youth ministry for grades 6-12. Rooted in our parish vision to overcrowd heaven, this role helps form young disciples through a culture of prayer, teamwork, and missionary discipleship. The candidate performs duties and responsibilities in alignment with the mission, vision, and values of the Archdiocese of Miami.

Responsibilities include:
• Lead a comprehensive catechetical program for middle and high school youth
• Coordinate Confirmation preparation, retreats, and parent engagement.
• Plan youth ministry events, service projects, and faith-based gatherings.
• Support campus ministry at the Catholic school (middle school).
• Recruit and train catechists and youth leaders.
• Collaborate with parish staff and ensure alignment with Archdiocesan standards.

Qualifications:
• High School Diploma, Lay Ministry Certification, experience in catechist formation and 3+ years of volunteer experience in parish youth ministry required.
• Preferred: Bachelor's in Theology, Pastoral Studies, or related field and 3+ years of parish work experience.
• Excellent customer service skills, including ability to maintain focus on and professionalism with people in challenging situations, both in person and by phone.
• Good time management, including ability to manage several projects at the same time with accuracy.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) and Google Workspace proficiency preferred.
• Must be a practicing Catholic, available for evenings/weekends.
• Able to lift and carry, on occasion, bundles of catechetical and program materials weighing up to 25 pounds.
• Ability to walk and stand for prolonged hours as required by the parish catechetical sessions.
• Must have a professional demeanor.
