Job Description

The Director of Student Ministry will have the opportunity to work with a dynamic, engaging, healthy ministry that brings children & youth K-12th grades to Jesus, forms them as disciples and sends them out to transform the world.

General Responsibilities
Oversee, plan, and execute the Family Formation program with the family formation team.
Oversee Youth Discipleship Coordinator to assure all job duty responsibilities are fulfilled (i.e. CTN, OCIA Teens, Youth Alpha, and Steubenville.)
Collaborates with the Youth Discipleship Coordinator to ensure Family Formation transition and to assist in combined family and special events for FF families.
Needs to develop, train, and resource all team members (K-6).
Coordinate leader investment meetings.
Help oversee annual FF Registration.
Build relationships with the children, parents, and families (Needs to be at ease with social interactions any setting)
Coordinates regular FF team meetings to connect womb to tomb.
Will be directly involved in growing the ministry by working in a 3-year plan.
Build a rapport and network with other thriving ministries/parishes.
Involvement with Yorkville Community.
Must-Haves
Knowledge of Catholic faith.
Able to share faith story.
Experience with children's ministry and curriculum.
A level of social maturity that can accurately represent the parish and Faith Formation team.
Willingness to give first fruits to the ministry.
Takes initiative, follows up and is teachable.
Team-building, utilizing team's strengths for balance.
Communicate effectively and clearly in all forms (students, parents, parish, etc.)
Basic knowledge office equipment and software/database programs.
Lives within 40 minutes of Yorkville Community.
Nice-to-Haves
Experience with SWOT analysis, 3 year planning, and brainstorming.
Plays an instrument/sings.
Experience with social media.
