About Cristo Rey Atlanta Jesuit High School
Cristo Rey Atlanta Jesuit (https://www.cristoreyatlanta.org/) is a Catholic college preparatory high school located in downtown Atlanta. Opened in 2014, the school serves over 500 young men and women in grades 9 - 12. Cristo Rey Atlanta Jesuit is one of more than 60 Jesuit high schools in the US and proudly carries forward the Jesuit tradition of academic excellence, personal growth, and service to others.

Beyond the academic and extracurriculars programs, the Cristo Rey model includes a Corporate Work Study Program wherein students work in jobs off campus one day every week. One hundred percent of Cristo Rey Atlanta students participate in Corporate Work Study, which funds 60% of the annual tuition cost for each student. Leading the school in maintaining a rigorous academic program in this unique model will be key to the success of the next principal.

About the Position
The Principal will be the instructional and academic leader of the
school, collaborating with fellow administrators, parents, faculty and staff to ensure a school environment and instructional program that is aligned with the Cristo Rey Atlanta Jesuit mission and vision. Working together with the President and Corporate Work Study Director, the Principal ensures that highly effective instruction is taking place, and that the social/emotional well-being of students is maintained to facilitate a safe, productive, and enthusiastic learning environment.

The Principal will be hired by, and report to, Cristo Rey Atlanta Jesuit's President. S/He will lead a team that includes the following direct reports: two Assistant Principals, two Deans, Director of Guidance Counseling, Director of College Counseling, Learning Specialist, and Athletic Director. Cristo Rey Atlanta Jesuit has approximately 30 teaching faculty.

Professional Qualifications and Personal Qualities
• Teaching experience with a deep understanding of effective pedagogy
• Experience leading and mentoring teachers, esp. in the areas of teaching methodology and classroom management
• Strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to communicate effectively with faculty, students, parents, and business partners
• Demonstrated commitment to working with diverse communities
• Open and flexible problem solver ready to lead the academic team towards excellence and rigor in a nontraditional school environment and schedule
• Understands and embraces the Jesuit charism, as well as the mission of Cristo Rey schools
• Practicing Catholic preferred, but not required
• Spanish speaking is a plus, but not required
• Master's degree in educational field
• At least 5 years' experience in school site leadership
