Job Description
Overview:Performs custodial maintenance for the church buildings, office buildings, community center, and rectory. Provides assistance in facilities' set ups required for ministry events. Helps maintain the grounds of the church office, rectory and community center. Assists with supervising community service volunteers to perform tasks as needed.
MAJOR POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
CUSTODIAL:
Cleaning of buildings regularly to maintain a safe and attractive environment
Carpet maintenance
Vacuuming
Trash removal
Dusting
Washing windows
Clean mirrors
Clean floors and walls
Oil woodwork
BUILDING MAINTENANCE:
Assist and perform scheduled maintenance to assure proper operation and attractive appearance
Drywall repair
Painting
Minor plumbing
Minor electrical repair
Roof repair
Light bulb replacement
GROUNDS MAINTENANCE:
Maintain outside appearance and safety of parish facilities
Grass planting, tree pruning, bush trimming, and maintenance of all plant material
Irrigation maintenance and repair
OTHER:
Provide assistance in set-ups required for ministry events
Attend staff meetings, evening meetings and other parish events when necessary
Schedule:
Monday - Friday
8-hour shifts
