The Director of Donor Development will play a pivotal role in advancing the mission of Rebuilt Parish: making disciples by helping parishes make disciples. As a faith-filled leader, you will cultivate relationships with major donors, inspire generosity, and lead fundraising efforts that allow us to strengthen Catholic parishes and communities nationwide.
You will oversee major gift prospects, steward current donors, lead donor-centered events, and collaborate closely with Church of the Nativity, our home parish. In this role, you will help donors see how their giving impacts the Church's mission and connects them more deeply to their faith.
Responsibilities
As the Director of Donor Development, you will:
> Cultivate relationships with recurring and high-capacity donors who share our mission of renewing the local Catholic Church.
> Build a national network of Catholic advocates, outside of our current relationships at Church of the Nativity.
> Collaborate with team members to create donor-focused communications that reflect gratitude, encouragement, and alignment with our mission.
> Develop and lead a strategy for raising funds to meet and exceed Rebuilt's operational needs.
> Plan and host inspiring donor events, inviting attendees to reflect on their impact and deepen their discipleship through generosity.
> Foster a culture of giving, blending practical fundraising efforts with spiritual encouragement.
What We're Looking For:
A mission-driven, entrepreneurial leader who loves connecting with others and has a heart for parish renewal.
Must-Haves:
> Five or more years of experience in development, with a proven track record of success.
> A deep relationship with Jesus Christ and alignment with Rebuilt's Catholic values.
> A team player with excellent interpersonal skills and a "humble and hungry" mindset.
> Strong ability to connect with high-capacity donors and share the connection between giving and spiritual growth.
> Entrepreneurial spirit, ready to explore new opportunities to expand our donor base nationally.
> Willingness to travel locally and nationally for donor meetings and events.
Nice-to-Haves:
> Strong writing skills for creating donor-focused communication.
> Proficiency with data systems for CRM organization and technology for remote communication.
> Established connections within the Catholic Church and national Catholic organizations.
