Job Description
Coordinator of Children's Catechesis (Part-Time)Are you looking for a rewarding part-time opportunity where you can make a difference in the lives of children? St. Joseph Church in Shawnee, KS, is seeking an enthusiastic, organized, and computer-savvy individual to join our Formation Team as the Coordinator of Children's Catechesis.
This position is ideal for someone who is passionate about fostering faith development in young children, has excellent communication skills, and thrives in a collaborative, team-oriented environment. As the Coordinator, you will be responsible for coordinating the K-6 grade Religious Education program and helping expand the Catechesis of the Good Shepherd program across our campus.
Responsibilities:
Assist in organizing and coordinating K-6 grade Religious Education programs.
Support the growth and development of Catechesis of the Good Shepherd on the parish campus.
Collaborate with the Formation Team and parish volunteers to create engaging faith formation experiences.
Communicate effectively with parents, volunteers, and staff to ensure smooth program operations.
Ensure the organization of catechetical materials and resources.
Qualifications:
A faith-filled individual with a strong commitment to the mission of the Church.
Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple tasks effectively.
Proficient with computer programs (e.g., Word, Excel, and email communication).
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
A passion for working with children and supporting their spiritual growth.
Hours: Part-time, flexible schedule.
Location: St. Joseph Church, Shawnee, KS.
