Job Description
St. Ambrose Academy is looking for a full-time Dean of Students to join a team of committed educators striving to assist parents in the formation of their children through a classical education rooted in the Catholic faith. The Dean of Students works to foster the spiritual health and formation of the students at St. Ambrose Academy through engaging student activities, effective student mentoring, the promotion of a rich student ministry, and much more.Benefit Highlights: Academy pays 100% of premiums for health insurance, life insurance, and disability; direct primary care option with local Catholic clinic; IRA match; 90% tuition reduction for children attending the Academy; professional development.
Work Environment: St. Ambrose Academy is a 6-12 grade private Catholic classical academy located in Madison, Wisconsin with a rapidly growing student body and a vibrant Catholic community: Daily prayer, regular access to the Eucharist and Confession; emphasis on formation of the whole person; respectful students and supportive families.
Requirements: A minimum of a bachelor's degree in theology, communications, or psychology with a master's degree preferred in those or a related field. Three years of experience in teaching and/or pastoral ministry (campus ministry, parish youth ministry, faith formation) preferred.
The candidate must be a practicing Catholic, willing to make an Oath of Fidelity to the Magisterium, whose life of faith serves as an example to our students and families.
Candidates must demonstrate excellent organizational, written, and verbal communication skills; be adaptable to student needs and demonstrate a desire to share their gifts and talents with the students and administration of the school.
