Job Description
Responsible for the successful transition and implementation of the Uniting in Heart 2030 Pastoral Plan into the pastorate and Catholic school structures. This role will provide leadership and resource guidance through direct accompaniment and ongoing relationship building. This role will serve as a coach to pastoral leaders including but not limited to clergy.Essential Duties: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. 1. Serve as an advocate for the Bishop's Uniting in Heart 2030 Pastoral Plan based on the 3 Pillars of Mission, Community and Witness.
2. Provides timely information about personnel concerns to Director of Human Resource and Director of Pastorate Life Services. Maintain consistent communication with Director of Pastorate Life Services.
3. Maintain consistent communication with the pastors and pastorate teams in order to understand their needs, strengths and opportunities for improvement. Build a strong and trustworthy relationship with assigned pastorates by asking questions and practicing active listening skills.
4. Travels to diocesan church communities to provide leadership and resource guidance and encouragement to pastors and parish teams as they continue to form their pastorate leadership team, staffs, their new pastoral, and finance councils.
5. Serves as a resource to the development, implementation and updating of the pastorate pastoral vision plan.
6. Provides support for Catholic schools in the implementation of Uniting in Heart Pastoral Plan.
7. Participate in and help plan all leadership and formational activities in order to adopt the same habits, practices and standards required of the pastorates.
8. Provide onsite guidance to ensure that the leadership team formation/training and adoption of the core values of the Uniting in Heart 2030 Pastoral Plan are implemented and followed through at the pastorate level.
9. Active accompaniment and modeling of leadership growth in the laity.
10. Understand and advocate for unified business systems and technology platforms and ensure standardization throughout the diocese.
11. Serve as a liaison between the chancery offices and pastorates to communicate the ways they are struggling and where they are succeeding. Coordinate with diocesan offices to assist the pastorates as needed.
12. Serves as a source of stability and confidence that pastors and leadership teams may rely upon through a time of change; keeping a pulse on the engagement of the changing faith communities and helping implement solutions when they are faced with troublesome situations.
13. Performs other duties and responsibilities, as assigned.

Education/Experience:
Bachelor's degree or a combination of education and relevant work experience
3-5 years' professional experience in leadership and organizational management
Experience in a parish setting or working within ministry preferred
Experience as a member or working with a parish pastoral or finance council preferred
Experience in a high volume, fast-paced and dynamic environment; able to manage multiple projects/tasks and deadlines with ease.
Strong organizational, verbal, and written communication skills.
Theological studies a plus
Able to pass and maintain diocesan child safety protocols.
Other Skills and Abilities:
Proficiency with MS Office 365 Suite, including Microsoft Word, Excel, Publisher, Power Point, Outlook, Teams, and Microsoft file and print services.
Knowledge of and participation in the faith.
Excellent interpersonal skills and a desire to provide exceptional customer service.
Ability to work effectively with all levels of staff- clergy, employees and volunteers and cross-collaborate with all team members.
Ability to work successfully with various personality types.
Proficient at leading change management strategies and guiding employees through the stages of change.
Able to honor and maintain confidentiality.
Able to pass and maintain diocesan child safety protocols.
