Asst. Cheerleading Coach JV and Varsity

Job Description

St. John the Baptist Diocesan High School in West Islip is seeking two experienced Cheerleading Coaches.

Prior high school cheerleading coaching experience USA Cheer Safety certification CPR/First Aid/AED certification UCA experience preferred.

Instructs players in the rules, regulations, and techniques of the sport.

Organizes and directs individual and small group practice activities/exercises/tryouts.

Assesses players skills, monitors players during competition and practice and provides guidance to players to improve.

Models sportsman-like behavior and maintains appropriate conduct towards players, officials and spectators. Participates in special activities including fundraising efforts and awards nights.

Performs support tasks such as distributing and maintaining eligibility forms, emergency data forms and other related records.

Plans, directs and supervises all phases of the sports program. Informs the Athletic Director of any matters of concern.
