The Archdiocese of Denver is seeking an experienced and passionate leader to direct our Youth Ministry team and spearhead our efforts to equip our local leaders to transform youth ministry to be effective in this apostolic age.

The Archdiocese of Denver exists so that in Jesus Christ all might be rescued and have abundant life for the glory of the Father. The fruit of our recent multiyear process of discernment and renewal at the Archdiocese of Denver is a renewed clarity and passion around how we will succeed in this mission. Our strategic anchors are Holy Priests, Equipped Leaders for Mission, and a Missional Curia.

The Office of Evangelization and Family Life Ministries is commissioned to "provide pastoral equipping to current and emerging leaders". With the support of the Executive Director, this position will play a key role in outlining a renewed vision for youth ministry and leading our efforts to implement this vision across the Archdiocese. In addition to crafting and implementing vision, this position is responsible for shepherding, with the robust support of the team, the continued growth of our world class youth conferences (Steubenville of the Rockies, ~2,500 high schoolers and Mountain Madness, ~1,000 local middle schoolers).

Though sufficient experience leading parish youth ministry is necessary, we are prioritizing finding a thought leader who can help us reimagine ministry to young people. If you're a proven team leader who's seen the fruits of a transformed youth ministry and passionate about evangelizing young people, please reach out to inquire about an interview.

Position Overview:

Key Responsibility Areas

1. The Director is responsible for providing effective servant leadership to the Youth and Campus Ministry Team (consisting currently of four additional employees).
2. The Director, through the work of the team, is responsible for overseeing the transformation of local youth ministry to be effective and fruitful in this Apostolic Era.
3. The Director, through the work of the team, is responsible for overseeing the discernment, planning, and execution of Archdiocesan wide events in support of local youth ministry. (This includes: Steubenville of the Rockies, our local middle school conference called "Mountain Madness", and Pastoral Juvenile Encuentro.)
4. The Director, through the work of their team, is responsible for providing leadership formation opportunities for high schoolers in the Archdiocese of Denver.

Expectations for all team members in the Office of Evangelization and Family Life Ministries (EFLM):

a. All EFLM team members are required to take a "solitude" day of prayer once per semester.
b. All EFLM team members are expected to take seriously their responsibility to pray daily and continue to grow in their intimacy with God.
c. All EFLM team members are expected to continue their own professional development through attending meaningful conferences, workshops, or retreats; and are expected to participate in ongoing formation meetings withing the EFLM department on a regular basis.
