Qualifications:
This role provides a unique opportunity for an employee who is able to multitask while maintaining information accuracy, effective communication skills, donor administration, confidentiality and a willingness to serve. Working in alignment with the stewardship leadership, this person will have both creative communication and donor record administrative responsibilities.
The data management responsibilities include yet are not limited to collecting, managing, and reporting donor data in our diocesan software (ParishSOFT) requiring a great deal of precision and validation. The communication responsibilities include yet are not limited to organizing an existing digital photo library while receiving, editing, and tagging new digital photos, writing articles using new and/or old photos, and maintaining web pages.
Additional qualifications include:
* A practicing Catholic in good standing with the Church.
* 2+ years' experience as administrative assistant, public relations, digital images management.
* Ability to communicate effectively in English in oral and written (using correct spelling, grammar, and punctuation).
* Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail while maintaining strict confidentiality.
* Competent computer skills: Google Suite, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Social Media.
* Ability to work and relate to a variety of personalities, ages, and cultures with diplomacy, friendliness, and poise.
* Able to work in a team-oriented environment, handle multiple assignments consecutively, and prioritize workload.
* Additional emphasis will be given to those who also possess the following:
o Ability to communicate in Spanish oral and written (using correct spelling, grammar and punctuation).
o Working knowledge of ParishSOFT Family Suite: Offering & Pledges software.
Key Responsibilities:
Under the direction of the Diocesan Communication & Development Mgr.:
Data Management:
* Process data accurately and timely into our donor database (ParishSOFT)
* Participate in ParishSOFT training and keep abreast of updates and best practices.
* Partner with the Development team in optimizing processes.
* Facilitate the coordination and data management of donor records with the parishes and diocesan teams.
* Assist with and review reporting needs of the parishes and diocesan teams.
* Collaboratively design and manage metrics and managerial reporting.
* Participate in diocesan trainings and workshops for parish/school staff and volunteers.
Librarian:
* Well organized to establish and maintain a photo/video library.
* Understand photograph technology of manipulating photos and videos to tell a story.
* Support the Diocesan Chronicle editor in finding and editing the best photos for upcoming articles.
* Create stories by combining strategy, objectives, and desired messages with written and photographic images.
* Assist in maintaining our Diocese website.
* Have enough technical background to understand/assist with our IT infrastructure.
* Be able to create, propose, and maintain process improvements.
* Other tasks as deemed necessary for operational efficiency and in assistance to the Chief Operating Officer.
