Job Description

This position is located in Wilmington, Delaware. Catholic Charities of the Diocese of Wilmington is seeking a Certifier Supervisor who, in conjunction with the Assistant Manager, ensures the smooth daily operation of the Low Income Heating Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP) and the Certifier staff.

This position requires full-time availability Monday through Friday, 8:30 am - 4:30 pm.

Essential Functions:

- Monitors staff to ensure proper day-to-day function of the Heating and Crisis services intake process.
- Plans, assigns, reviews, and evaluates the work of unit staff generated by programmatic needs, client volume, or seasonal nature.
- Verifies certifications to ensure compliance with State and Federal regulations.
- Disseminates information and answers questions from Certifier personnel regarding application process.
- Performs quarterly random reviews of case records to ensure compliance.
- Provides weekly and monthly reporting for billing purposes.
- Works in close cooperation with LIHEAP vendors and various state agencies and community-based service sectors to secure maximum client entitlements and benefits.

Minimum Qualifications:

- Associate's degree in Human Services or related field and one year of experience in a supervisory role or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Ability to interpret and apply complex rules and regulations with accuracy and attention to detail.
- Ability to work well independently, with excellent skills in teamwork and collaboration.
- Demonstrated computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite and email clients.
- Strong problem-solving, attention to detail, and organizational skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to maintain confidential/sensitive information and data.
- Ability to build trust and rapport with individuals from diverse cultural, socio-economic, and ethnic backgrounds.
- Willingness to consent to and ability to pass a criminal background check in accordance with Federal/State/local laws.
