Job Description

PROGRAM SCHEDULING ASSISTANT
Full-time, onsite in Irondale (Birmingham), AL. Not remote-eligible.

HOW YOU WILL IMPACT THE BIG PICTURE:
As the Program Scheduling Assistant, you'll be responsible for the creation and maintenance of the 24-hour programming grid for EWTN's satellite feeds in a proprietary database.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:
• Create and schedule programming grids for EWTN's various satellite feeds.
• Make programming decisions based upon liturgical year, special events and special programming.
• Notify various entities of changes and issue memos concerning programming.
• Supply various departments with information regarding Programming Schedule.
• Work closely with other departments to ensure a cohesive effort on all EWTN's programming platforms.

ABOUT YOU:
• You have previous experience with scheduling/traffic or other database systems, with a background in cable or broadcast television.
• You possess a strong familiarity with EWTN programming, or willingness to learn.
• You are knowledgeable of the Catholic faith, liturgical year and EWTN mission.
• You feel confident working independently and making decisions regarding programming.
• Some of your dominant soft skills include: strong organizational and communication skills, detail oriented and ability to meet strict deadlines.
• You possess strong computer skills in a Windows environment, including Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel. Other database experience helpful.
• You hold an Associate/Bachelor's Degree or equivalent broadcast scheduling experience.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
• Knowledge of secondary language (Spanish and/or German) would be a huge plus!
