Job Description

The Pope John Paul II Academy in Montrose, Colorado is searching for a Middle School Math & Science Teacher for the 2025-2026 school year.
Candidates should be active, faithful Catholics who have a heart for serving the mission of Catholic education. Teacher licensure/state certification is preferred but not a requirement.

Our small class sizes of 15 and supportive school families provide a teaching environment that is second to none.

Basic Qualifications:

•Practicing Catholic who is committed to teaching within the tradition of the Catholic Faith.
•A love for working with children and working on a cohesive team.
•Strong classroom management and willing to learn.
•Ability to differentiate instruction according to varying learning styles and levels.
•Professional, organized, and punctual.
•Strong oral and writing communication skills.
•Team player, naturally building healthy, professional relationships with students, colleagues, and parents.
•Pedagogical virtues of patience, clarity, and kindness.
•Knowledge and love for the Catholic Faith and its tradition of academic excellence.
•Experience in education is preferred but not required (teacher licensure is not required).

Pope John Paul II Academy is a private independent school founded in 2008, serving students from pre-K through eighth grade.
