Job Description

Marin Catholic currently has an opening for a full-time History Teacher in the 2025-26 school year.

Position will begin August 2025

The History program at Marin Catholic strives to give each student a method to analyze the Truth, Beauty and Goodness that has occurred in the world. Students study history in order to understand the world that they live in and how it has come to be. Students are challenged to think deeply, critically and inventively while gaining an understanding of their past.

The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate deep familiarity with history while also being able to explain historical thinking skills and teaching practices. This person exemplifies a love for the students and a desire to see all students succeed at the highest level. This individual will also need to see collaboration, on both a student and faculty level, as a key to student success.

Qualifications, credentials, experience, knowledge & skills for the position:
-Degree in History or related field
-Catholic high school teaching experience, preferred
-Practicing Catholic in good standing, preferred
-Desire to share his/her faith journey
-Student focused and lifelong learner
-Teaching credential, preferred
-Ability to collaborate effectively with faculty, student and staff
-Maintains best professional practices in communicating with peers, students and parents

Salary ($71,715-112,657) and benefits are according to a Union contract.

Full-time Faculty are eligible for benefits including health and dental insurance, medical and dependent care flex plan, Archdiocesan pension, and 403b.
