High School Medieval Humanities and Latin Teacher

Job Description

Immaculata Classical Academy is seeking a full-time medievalist who knows Latin - or a Latinist with a background in medieval studies - for the 2025-2026 school year. The ideal candidate is a joyful, faithful Catholic who is passionate about educating young men and women in the Catholic liberal arts tradition and committed to academic excellence.

Immaculata's high school Medieval History course is based on primary sources and spans the fall of Rome to the Council of Trent. The core texts of the Medieval Literature course include Beowulf, The Canterbury Tales, Sir Gawain and the Green Knight, and The Divine Comedy. Our Latin program is based on Hans Orberg's Lingua Latina Per Se Illustrata series and focuses on reading and speaking Latin as a means to acquiring reading fluency.
