Job Description
Responsibilities:Teach Science classes which could include:
Biology, Physical Science, Earth Sciences, Physics, and / or Chemistry
May teach some honors, dual credit, or Advancement Placement courses
Utilizes technology to impact student learning and increase communication
Demonstrates support for the mission of Fr. Tolton Catholic High School by attitude, words, actions, and integrity
Assists in maintaining discipline throughout the student body, in adherence to the Student Handbook
Serves with parents, faculty, and student groups, as requested in advancing educational and related activities and objectives
Possibility to sponsor, coach, or supervise extra-curricular activities
Performs other duties as assigned by the Principal
Qualifications:
Minimum of a bachelor's degree in related field
State teaching licensure/certificate is preferred but not a hiring prerequisite
Familiarity with Google Suite (Gmail, docs, sheets, etc), Google Classroom, and RenWeb/FACTS is preferred
Understands the high school education culture and is able to interact professionally with students, faculty, and parents
Ability to maintain professionalism in challenging situations
Physical Demands and other requirements:
Ability to perform repetitive physical tasks such as computer keyboarding, writing, and reading
Required to monitor students in a variety of locations including those with noise and activity
Required to maintain composure and to communicate appropriately in words and actions
