Job Description

The Office of Background Screening is currently looking for a part-time Operations Specialist to join their team. The ideal candidate will have 2+ years in HR, business management or business administration, the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment, be self-motivated and organized.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
Obtain and maintain working knowledge of: MA CORI procedures; SAFIS procedures; RCAB CORI policy; MA Mandated Reporter regulations.
Assist in processing fingerprinting and National Sex Offender checks as needed.
Data entry & filing.
Make and respond to phone calls.
Organize files and paperwork in general.
Assist the Director as needed.
Maintain a high degree of confidentiality for all information learned in the course of the job.
Assist in processing incoming & outgoing mail.
Create and update forms ensuring accuracy and validity of information.
Maintain office supplies and monitor inventory.
Maintain positive working relationships with colleagues throughout the Archdiocese.
Other duties as may be assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS
Ability to become a Certified SAFIS-R User for CHRI access and complete FBI Level4 CJIS Security Training.
Strong written and oral communication skills in English. Bi-lingual a significant plus.
Proficient in Microsoft Office (MS Word & MS Excel in particular).
Working knowledge of office equipment like printers, copiers, scanners, etc.
Ability to work effectively with people of various backgrounds, ethnicities and personalities.
Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize work and follow through with tasks to their completion, seeking help with overcoming obstacles when necessary.
High level of accuracy with data entry.
Strong organizational skills.
Willingness to support the mission of the Catholic Church.
A team player.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS
Schedule is Monday - Friday, 20 hours per week (specific hours to be determined).
Job is based in office. This is NOT a work from home or hybrid position.
