Job Description
Director of Development and Development Coordinator Positions Available at St. Thomas Aquinas in Ames, IASt. Thomas Aquinas Church and Catholic Student Center (STA), based in Ames, Iowa, next to Iowa State University is building a culture of invitation to a deeper relationship with Jesus.
We plan to grow our STA team by hiring two positions: A Director of Development and a Development Coordinator. These two positions will engage benefactors through interactions with current and new donors, and by communicating strategies for growing the Catholic faith impact in our community.
The Director of Development (DOD) will raise major gifts for high-priority projects at STA. The DOD will identify, cultivate, solicit, and steward donors who support STA through annual gifts, pledges, and estate provisions. The DOD will work with key STA administration to facilitate fundraising, and enhance a collaborative atmosphere with STA staff to ensure fundraising metrics and goals are met.
The Development Coordinator (DC) will work with and support the Director of Development (DOD) to raise gifts for high-priority projects at STA. The ideal candidate for this position would be detail-oriented, with experience in data management, and possess proven administrative and organizational skills, as well as excellent written and verbal communication skills. This position may be filled on a part-time basis.
