Job Description

POSITION OVERVIEW: The Pastoral Minister position is a full-time role with three distinct areas of responsibility within the parish: coordinate the parish's ministries, direct the parish RCIA program, and provide pastoral care. The role will require Sundays, Catholic holidays, and evenings. Specific duties include but are not limited to:

• Act as a liaison for the staff to the parish's 30+ ministries and provide regular communication and support.
• Coordinate the Saint Cecilia CARES ministry (ministry to those homebound and hospitalized), providing support meetings and individual supervision as needed.
• Establish a vision, goals, and budget for each ministry in collaboration with its leadership team.
• Plan an annual ministry fair for the parish.
• Participate in ministry meetings/events and ministry leadership meetings as appropriate.
• Implement strategies for volunteer development and appreciation.
• Coordinate pastoral care.
• Coordinate and teach the RCIA program and Adult Confirmation Program.
• Handle all aspects of paperwork and documentation that needs to be sent to the Archdiocese.
• Assist in parish retreat planning and coordination.

QUALIFICATIONS:
• A confirmed and practicing Roman Catholic.
• A deep understanding of the mission and teachings of the Catholic Church.
• A passion for transmitting the Catholic faith and a desire to nurture the spiritual formation of parishioners of all ages.
• Background in pastoral/spiritual caregiving.
• Strong communication skills.
• Excellent organizational, interpersonal, oral, and written skills.
• An advanced degree in theology or pastoral ministry preferred.
